About us

Located in the small village of Great Gonerby, on the B1174 just outside the historic town of Grantham.  Close to Belton House, Woolsthorpe Manor & Downtown Superstore. The Recruiting Sergeant has been serving award winning local ales and hearty food to the community for decades. Alison Brooks and her team offer excellent home cooked food. You'll always find a friendly, warm welcome here in this Pub which has become the centre point of the Village and is the ideal place to relax and unwind after a busy day.
